POWERLESSNESS & BRICK WALLS

Pondering brought about this week, is about powerlessness. When we acknowledge this sense in our lives, and when we feel it as a nation. It is a feeling and perception of being unable to control or influence events.

The subject is uncomfortable to talk about with people, who sit secure in their jobs, earn a steady wage BUT it exists. This intangible state of mind cannot be denied. You have the choice to FACE the feeling and perception of powerlessness OR hide your head in the sand like an Emu!

There are many circumstances happening in our everyday life which can overwhelm us and give us a sense of powerlessness. Whether you own this state of mind is up to you!

I understand the total feeling of powerlessness introduced into my life by others. Who according to them… DEATH was something to be faced and accepted. It was their belief.

I did not - accept or own this state of mind for long.
Nor did I run and hide from the emotions
- I felt powerless at certain times
With the never ending battle faced!

I let them have their powerlessness which was their state of mind
and I created my brick wall.

Powerlessness is associated - with a disease against which modern medicine is powerless.

Remember powerlessness is a state of mind.

Impeding the willpower of the individual.

Obviously, as we journey through life there are certain circumstances and situations we feel powerless over. A prime example is the current Australian political system. We realised we are not living in a democracy. We do not matter to the political parties who take it upon themselves to dictate who will run the country.

Hence, the feeling of powerlessness hasn’t just affected the people struggling with a disease, which modern medicine is powerless over. Most of the population in this country has experienced the feeling to some degree and feels the same way. We are unified with the emotions associated with powerlessness.

Two different circumstances - producing the same state of mind within individuals. With, this state of mind brings apathy and the flow on emotion of futility. You can stay in this state of mind or do something about it.

Take responsibility for your own state of mind. You own the power to change and do great things in your life. Respect yourself and know your own self worth. Don’t accept the circumstances which bring on the feelings of powerlessness.

Powerlessness comes from not having information and knowledge in which to change your current circumstance. Therefore get the knowledge you need. Don’t sit on your laurels. Build your brick wall or build your bridge BUT get over it.

If you don’t like being sick.. become active and proactive - bring back the belief in yourself. Don’t sabotage yourself based on other people’s state of mind.

Suggestions to energise yourself, if you find yourself falling into the apathetic state, or the overwhelming sense of futility in your life. Do something to change the state of mind you are in.

Suggested exercises.

1. Watch an inspirational movie.
2. Lose yourself in a good book.
3. Play with your pet.
4. Throw sand in an ants nest and watch them clean it out and rebuild it. Do it again. They will rebuild again and again….. and again. What does that teach you about endurance and resilience?

5. Do exercises to increase your endorphin levels.

6. Pick a debate and in the middle of it walk away(giggle giggle) this is the most powerful feeling of all. It proves you have a choice over the current circumstance.

Fight against apathy and futility in your life, bring purpose and meaning back.

Stay Strong!

SHINE LIKE A Fibonacci Ratio!

How I define and embrace the concept of beauty.
Beauty is often described as the harmony of nature. Take, for instance, the Fibonacci numbers/ratio’s reflected in the natural order of the universe producing beautiful shells, flowers, and symmetry of the human body. I appreciate and are drawn to this universal language; it is a hidden language which we gloss over and call beauty but there is so much more than what we first perceive.

Our UGLIES therefore you would LOGICALLY think is the lack of harmony in nature? No beauty is found there unless you understand and look closer. I am drawn to the uglies in my life because they are showing me what isn’t in harmony.  I have the power within myself to bring the uglies into beauty. Then I will focus my attention in this area until some order out of the chaos emerges, OR I change my perception of what I thought was ugly into a concept I can stare at without flinching.

Now I will try to put practical instances into concrete situations for you to follow my drift? An easy example of uglies in life would be to understand why a child hates maths at school. Rarely, do you find a child good at maths viewing it with hate or a passionate distaste. This shows how easy it is to understand the uglies in our life. A situation or a circumstance has arisen which we do not understand therefore we label it with fear or hate.

If someone takes the time to take that child, who hates maths and coach, or bring the maths language into something with meaning to the child. The child will see what they can accomplish and change their perception of the study of maths or the perception which the word maths brings to their lives. In other words, the emotional state associated with maths.

We would all like to live in the cloud environment where everything in our lives is fluffy, white and weightless.

Here is an opportunity of releasing uglies, which has not brought understanding or peace to your life no matter how hard you try. Don’t bury them… bring them out of your subconscious and psyche and face them. These memories may date back to the days in school with a subject you weren’t good at or people who were bullies, or a teacher who made life hard for you.

Nevertheless these situations or people, caused a disharmony in your life and we are working on restoring your life to harmony and beauty.

But this can only be accomplished with your own pure intent.

EXERCISE TIME!
1. Write a list of all the hurtful situations or people’s names who hurt you and caused the uglies in your life.
2. Do they show a re-occurring theme? Is it because you have been too trusting and not understanding a situation fully? Is it a misunderstanding due to your lack of knowledge, and you went to a person who claim to be an expert only to find they are not an expert?
3. What emotion do you hold on to? Is it a hate, anger, or hurt?
4. Do you blame yourself or the other person? OR have you just buried it and it resurfaces as a pattern time and time again?

NOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS LIST?
1.  If you  know EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) will assist you with clearing and restoring harmony.
2.  A traditional way, used by many to purge the emotion attached to the person or memory was to take the list and burn it.
3. Some people will find release by crying, which is better than holding onto this situation which is often converted into depression or sickness in the body.
4.  Pendulum healing is also beneficial. (this is one of my favourites).
5. Going to a deserted beach or piece of land where you can scream at the top of your lungs.
6. To splash paint around while releasing the pent up hurt and anger as it surfaces.

There is no right or wrong. I am only suggesting options. Don’t hide from the uglies. Embrace them because they are teaching us where we fell short in our lives. Showing where and what we need to release. Making way for new growth and understanding.

Look at when the universe cries its tears by raining.. it brings new growth, to a dry and parched land, and benefits many people. It is rewarding to the whole environment. Although becomes a problem if it rains bucket loads because it then causes flooding.

To restore and bring harmony and beauty into your life will reflect itself in your health, and to those loved ones around you.
I laugh when I finally release my uglies and poke fun at the situation, which I thought was ugly.

Stay strong and be the beautiful individual you were meant to be in Fibonacci ratios!

DEFINING HAPPINESS

This subject is open to perceptions and interpretations on a grand scale.

Defined in some dictionaries as:- the feeling of well-being, contentment and joy.
Simple hey?
NOT EVEN CLOSE in real life!

The following will show how complex the state of happiness is to obtain and maintain. Including not just life experiences, but what we put in our bodies will affect our happiness.

OUR WHOLE ENVIRONMENT
To know happiness you first must face the uglies.

Happiness is created and reflected in the life you chose to live including - foods, family, company, activities, social interactions, and how you feel about yourself.

No one can make you happy.
No one can tell you what to do to be happy.

This is one area of your life similar to your health, you need to take full responsibility and own the good and bad. If you truly are seeking happiness in your life, it becomes an intriguing adventure. You learn a great deal about yourself and importantly a great deal about other people and where they are searching for happiness. Bring out the Cinderella slipper!

Happiness is as individual and unique as it gets in life. It will only fit your psyche and personality. Your DNA is different, therefore you thoughts and emotions will be very different. You can’t buy happiness and you can’t copy happiness from someone else.

Focus is the key word. If you are seeking happiness, then focus on your emotions and what brings that bubbling exuberance as you experience life. It helps and becomes easier as you age, on what you will and won’t accept in your life or tolerate. You stop living your parent’s happiness and you stop living your child's happiness. You gradually grow into your own skin and truly know yourself. The happiness naturally follows.

I need not have my chemical levels tested in a science lab to tell me if I am happy or unhappy. (I either smile or I don't smile. I feel content or I don’t feel content..simple)

Much of the ancient wisdom taught in native cultures and learnt by studying nature and the natural elements. The natural you!

There are various techniques to learn which apply to your own inherent nature.
I watch human behaviour and find patterns. I can only write from my experience.
Brainstorm and put together a happiness kit for yourself when the doldrums or the low times set in.

If you are unhappy and try and hide. You deny the truth about your life, and eventually it will detrimentally influence your health. You are living a lie and your subconscious knows it.

I know when people ask me if I am busy, and their lives are a whirl of flurry and bustle; they assume I am happy.  They have been taught and adopted this mindset. I also know that too much busyness and rush and hurry is hiding the truth. They don’t stop and face how unhappy they are in their life.

Running and hiding from the truth. Nothing they are doing including cramming activities will make them happy. They focus on the outer elements, expecting happiness to come from there. Happiness must come from within. No one can create happiness for you, and if you run and hide from it. It won’t catch you.

You can share an experience which makes you happy with someone, but that person cannot make you happy.

THE REAL TEST!
The real test to see if you can create your own happiness is to not seek to share an experience with anyone else. Can you create your own happiness or are you dependent on someone else’s company and interaction for happiness?

I found people who are self reliant exude a personal happiness in their aura. This brings my thoughts which also link into self worth, self esteem, believing in themselves, purpose and balance of values, and love of self.

Take for example… I couldn’t do chemo - I never hated myself enough to put myself through all that misery. There was feeling deep within me which found the thought repellent. Although at the time, I wasn’t given any other alternatives or where to search for knowledge. There again it was my responsibility.

Therefore I link and relate chemo and self loathing together. If people have a low self worth, then they will subject themselves to this treatment. There is no judgment here; I am only writing my truth and facing the ugly - we learn more about ourselves.

Understanding when my levels of vitamin C is increased, my mood becomes more positive. This, I discovered when I was removing the drug Dexamethasone from my life. The depression was almost unbearable. But I had decided to remove all synthetic drugs from my life.

This is back in the days when I was taking Ascorbic Acid (unsweetened) in a glass of water. I noticed my mood would elevate. Therefore what we put into our bodies can affect our happiness levels. Never underestimate the slightest change in habits and the flow on effect to your health and happiness.

If you are looking for happiness in your life. Might I suggest pulling your life apart - from the foods you eat, to all activities and beliefs. Take for example grapefruit can cause depression in some people.

If you want to look at the foods you eat? May I suggest scaling back and make the diet as simple as you can and then gradually introduce foods and see how they affect your moods / happiness?

This is turning out to be a rather lengthy topic, so will end here and carry on at a later date. I trust this week has brought some thought-provoking ideas and areas in which to seek happiness.

Stay Strong!

WHAT DO I WRITE ABOUT WHEN MY HEALTH IS GOOD?

Writing 6 tips concerning boosting energy levels a couple of weeks ago. I was compelled to follow my advice - in other words not just writing it, but living it!

Following the six tips recommended I included a course of CoQ10 15 mgs, 30 capsules (Blackmores) taken in the mornings. After 2 weeks, I noticed the increase in my energy levels. I have been doing a lot of behind the scenes writing. Living the quiet life because I know my peace and quiet will end one day. Therefore, I am happy to just be.

I hope many of life’s events are treating you with kindness and compassion.  Much of my peace stems from not bothering to watch the news on television for a couple of weeks. I know I want to be happy - not unhappy. I become ruthless at times, fighting (fighting is against my old habits I want to change) for the environment I am most happy and comfortable in. There is a balance in this - but I choose when I go out to socialize, and at what times I watch snippets of the news.

BECOMING RUTHLESS!

Learning to fight for the right to live, has crossed into, various parts of my life. Not just health, but happiness, peace and the sense of fulfilment.

I judged my life as being freakish…. due to following my intuition and the choices and decisions I make in my life, and outcomes defying all logic. My intuition crosses all boundaries of self inhibition and low self worth. Following my intuition, is leading me on an adventure I never thought would be possible.

I re-phrase my internal voice from telling me,
I am living a freakish life to telling myself
I am having a beautiful and fulfilling life.

Striking up conversations with strangers, only to find they are struggling with someone they love fighting cancer. I tell my story and their eyes light up. I can’t change my past, but I am standing here telling my truth and showing people they can do it, and it is possible to survive the un-survivable. I can influence my future, and give hope to another persons future.

Standing and fighting for what I believed in,
has brought me to this point in my life and
many days I am in awe of my extraordinary life.

I do not mean for us to interpret this as an ego boost. I write from the point of view, that no one expects anything from me anymore, so I am free to create whatever I want in my life. This has given me an exceptional sense of freedom. The flip side - people cannot understand why I have difficulty committing to join a club or social group. I mean no offense, nor do I want to hurt anyone's feelings, but when I join a group. I then am bound by the invisible social ties, power plays, and the rules which are required to be followed within that group.

The intangible inner and outer worlds

Again I am haunted by the invisible and intangible. Internally it brings freedom, happiness and peace. Externally I am a puzzle and many people will never understand what has brought me to this point.

I keep myself free to go where ever and I do not treat any encounter with anyone as a minor incident. Anyone who crosses my path is an important person who has worth and intangible value.

People are bringing an important event into my life. I will always be grateful for the sense of fulfillment granted when I experience these unplanned meetings in my daily life.

I wish you all an exceptional life.

Stay Strong!
